We are on our way to Grandma’s house this week for Thanksgiving, so here’s a little throw back to last year around this time, when we went to Grandma’s house. Who else is SO excited?!

This past weekend was amazing. Nick and I popped into St. George to go see Mia in her high school play. She was part of the ensemble for Joseph and the Amazing Technicolored Dreamcoat, and she rocked it. She sang and danced with so much energy, and she looked beautiful on stage. It made me want to sing and dance more! Also, we had musical songs stuck in our heads all weekend, and we would all frequently break out into song. It was so fun. I love being home.

Also,I finally have a phone again, so I’m happy for that! Two more days of work and then more family time! Hooray!

Fall leaves

After church, we headed for the canyon to see the beaUTAHful fall leaves. ???Like how beautiful is this world we live in? Seriously took a million photos, but every corner we turned was another breath-taking view. Not to mention the weather has been perfect!

Also, I have been thinking about bloggers that I love to follow, and holy cow! They may be getting all of their posts sponsored, but the rest of us can’t afford that lifestyle!! I’ve always loved fashion… via the sale rack. So…if anyone cares I will occasionally say where I got stuff. ?

Well, we have had the BEST weekend ever & are so sad to leave. Until next time, beautiful Utah! Thanks for dressing up in your Sunday best for us. ?

Stars & Stripes

Our Fourth of July celebrations were so fun this year. First, Nick’s family does a parade in Utah every year. So we woke up early & went and threw candy at little kids & waved at everyone. They put on quite the show! ??

Afterwards, they made a big breakfast & had a lot of people over. Then, we were so tired from all the traveling that we did that we laid down for a 15 minute nap & woke up 4 hours later. ? So we went outside and laid in the sun and swam.

For dinner, we had a barbecue with the extended fam. Of course we had hamburgers, hot dogs, chips, macaroni salad, watermelon, you know-all the good stuff. After, we laid blankets down in the grass, watched fireworks, ate homemade peach/raspberry ice cream, & thought how blessed we were to live in this great country!

I just realized that I wore all blue this year, but it worked out because I wore my “Kitten Heels” or bright red lipstick with everything. So it was fun to just have a red accent with all the blue.

I hope we continue some of these fun traditions for years to come! ??????
