On Pier 39 stands the most photogenic carousel- okay when is a carousel not photogenic though? Of course we had to stop & take photos. 🎠
This weekend was a blast with family! My mom has the pictures on her phone with all of us in front of the carousel. We were celebrating my older brother, Sam’s, birthday since it’s tough for us to fly down there at the end of the month. #StudentLife
We had fun celebrating though. He tried to get one of the workers at Fuddruckers to sing to him. It didn’t work. Haha but we sang to him later! Here were the different things he asked me for while he was here. He is so cute! He didn’t ask me for the last item on the list, but apparently he’s been asking mom for that for the past few weeks!
🎂 Sam’s Birthday Wishlist 🎂
A notebook. No, not The Notebook, just a blank notebook.
An LA Lakers Magazine. Apparently he has been a closet fan until now? 😂
2 buddy passes to LAX. He already flys for free… 👀
A new iPhone 8. I can’t fault him there.
I just love him! He is hilarious and oh so sweet.
Okay well, that’s enough for now. If you’re ever in San Francisco, go check out Pier 39! This is just one of the many cool things on the list.
We just finished the most epic Boyce Fam Jam! (The newest name for our family reunion.) It was a wonderful week of cousins, grandparents, aunts, uncles, and laughing. We all went up to grandma’s house but we stayed in hotels because there are so many of us! I actually absolutely loved the hotel aspect. We would stay up late in the lobby and/or go swimming or just hang out.
The first night, we found out that Dallin H. Oaks was staying on our floor so we casually waited by the door in the lobby all night….he never came. Sooo he was probably already in his room because my cousin saw him in the morning. Haha we also saw the General Relief Society President & the guy who does Music & the Spoken Word. Didn’t realize we were at a church headquarters retreat, but there was just no other explanation for it. 😂
Other highlights of the reunion included a red neck slip and slide that slid down a mountain, picking apples from grandpa’s apple trees together, ordering late night pizzas & exchanging stories, going to a church history pageant out in the middle of nowhere, a little Salt Lake impromptu shopping trip, a testimony meeting, Swig, making cookies, & the non-stop laughs. I love my sweet, crazy family!
Also, it’s National Sisters Day & I’m so glad I got to spend it with my sister. We laugh so hard together and I love her so much! So glad she’s my forever sissy & twin. 💕
What do you guys do for family reunions? Any traditions? I would love to hear any ideas you have as we will be planning some in the future. Love y’all!
Hope everyone had a great April! Time seriously flies so quickly. Sometimes I’m fine with that, but most the time, I try to hold on.
Speaking of time, Trent (my sweet little brother) gets home in 3.5 months. It’s almost been 2 years since I’ve seen him. He’s been serving the Lord down in Chile- his first time away from home was Chile. I’m so proud of his sacrifice he has made. He could have been attending college for 2 years already, but he chose to put others above himself & serve the Lord. We have received blessings for his service, but we absolutely cannot wait until he comes home to us!
Also, it’s my cute sister’s birthday this week! 🎉 I miss her so much. Anyone who knows her knows how fun, thoughtful, and caring she is. She’s also beautiful & I love her! She is my little twin. It seems like just yesterday that she was born. I’m so happy she came to this Earth & that I get to be sisters with her. Happy birthday, Meme! 💕
I can’t wait to celebrate with her when I see her next. 🍭🎂🍬
