In honor of NYFW, which is full steam ahead, I decided to do a little fashion post of my own with my favorite fall trends. On a side note, I like a lot of the fashion shows in New York, but I also think a lot of them have some ugly pieces for a lot of money…. haha. I do love the creativity and seeing all the fabrics and patterns, however!
So, if I were to describe my own style, I think I would tend to gravitate towards more classic pieces (less money because they’ll be in style for a longer time) with a modern twist. Those probably aren’t even the correct words, but you know, for those of us who aren’t professional fashion designers, hopefully that makes sense.
Here are some of my favorite items going into fall 2017:
Chunky Sweaters under $25
Overall Dresses under $60
Loafers under $50
What trends are you liking this fall? This will be my first fall in Northern California. I don’t know what to expect, but I’m excited about it.
This was my second time going, but it was even more magnificent the second time around. We went for sunset and the colors were breathtaking. Our hearts were pounding when we got to the edge- not because we are extremely out of shape, but because you’re so high up and the stunning scene in front of you is much bigger than you could have imagined. What a glorious world we live in!
It’s about a 5 minute drive from “downtown” Page, Arizona. You can’t miss it, because you’ll see hundreds of cars parked on the side of the road/small dirt parking lot. The best part about it is it is 100% free! It’s about a mile hike (up a dirt hill and down a dirt hill) to get to the edge. Although there are always lots of people, you’ll feel like you’re by yourself in nature once you get to the edge. It is so much bigger than it even looks in photos. If it isn’t already, it (and the whole area in general) must be added to your bucket list!
For you fashion lovers out there, I’ve included similar styles of my outfit down below under $35. I’m so glad I wore something light and airy on the hike so I wasn’t too hot in the desert heat!
Venice, Italy or Rockwall, Texas? Who knew that this cute little place existed? Nick’s company does a summer retreat every year outside of Dallas. This year, we stayed right on the lake in Rockwall at the Hilton. It was a gorgeous hotel with a big pool and a view of the lake. This cute little lighthouse was out behind it, so of course we went and explored.
At night, we did a dinner cruise out on the lake, which departed from this little dock. It was so fun! We watched the sunset, ate, talked with Nick’s friends, & listened to country music. It was such a fun experience.
So I’m linking my outfit down below. I love my new hat! ? …and I’ll probably be wearing it a ton. Hope y’all have a great Sunday. We are off to church to teach our little 7-8 year olds! ?
