San Francisco Carousel

On Pier 39 stands the most photogenic carousel- okay when is a carousel not photogenic though? Of course we had to stop & take photos. ?

This weekend was a blast with family! My mom has the pictures on her phone with all of us in front of the carousel. We were celebrating my older brother, Sam’s, birthday since it’s tough for us to fly down there at the end of the month. #StudentLife

We had fun celebrating though. He tried to get one of the workers at Fuddruckers to sing to him. It didn’t work. Haha but we sang to him later! Here were the different things he asked me for while he was here. He is so cute! He didn’t ask me for the last item on the list, but apparently he’s been asking mom for that for the past few weeks!

? Sam’s Birthday Wishlist ?

  • A notebook. No, not The Notebook, just a blank notebook.
  • An LA Lakers Magazine. Apparently he has been a closet fan until now? ?
  • 2 buddy passes to LAX. He already flys for free… ?
  • A new iPhone 8. I can’t fault him there.

I just love him! He is hilarious and oh so sweet.

Okay well, that’s enough for now. If you’re ever in San Francisco, go check out Pier 39! This is just one of the many cool things on the list.

Happy Sabbath!

XOXO,

Alyse

Sterling Vineyards

My Finnish fam is in town and they wanted to see the Napa Valley Vineyards. Nick and I don’t drink alcohol, but we couldn’t pass up an opportunity to venture out to the vineyards because they are so stunning. A friend recommended we go to Sterling in Napa Valley and I’m so glad we did. They have an air tram that takes you up the mountain so you can see an aerial view of the vineyards. So cool! And so beautiful from the top.

We’ve had a wonderful weekend being tourists in our new city. My family being here makes me so happy. They live halfway across the world, so it’s hard I don’t get to see them as much as I’d like, but I feel so close to them. They’re hilarious and so generous and kind-hearted. I love them.

Hope y’all have a wonderful Sabbath.

XOXO,

Alyse

Moving

The rumors are true- we are headed to California and we are excited! Nick is starting grad school & I will be looking for a job. HMU if you know of anything! ?

We will miss Texas, though. We have both worked for some amazing companies. I have loved working for Southwest Airlines and the Texas Rangers. ✈️ + ⚾️ I will miss the Tex Mex so much. It’s the best thing ever. Also, I’ll miss the people! I loved my church, my coworkers, and friends.

That said, we are excited for new adventures, the beautiful scenery of California, and new people! ❤️ Come visit us?

XOXO,

Alyse
