Shake Shack Comes to Dallas


So Shake Shack is officially in Dallas! ?

Within walking distance…it’s really quite scary. Linnea & I were in the top 10 customers to order there, and the food was heavenly. 

News stations were there, Shake Shack executives, and many excited Customers. We are pretty sure we made some photos, we will be on the lookout! We also got shake shack shirts & sunnies. Obviously wearing both to work today.

Also, the menu offer several options native to Dallas like flavored from Pecan Lodge in the burgers & pie shakes from Emporium Pies. Also, the decorations are made from reused materials. There is a neat wall in there that came from a Dallas school floor! 

Overall, it was a fun & delicious experience. We can’t wait to be frequents! ???

Cow Tipping Creamery

So Nick & I were trying to leave town today. We went to bed super late backing and were up before light. We hustled to the airport only to find out we were #44 and #45 on the standby list on a full flight. Soooo…. we came home. This is part of the whole #nonrev experience. We slept for three hours because we were exhausted. When we woke up, we were craving ice cream, and I’ve been wanting to go to the Cow Tipping Creamery.

It was everything we dreamed of and more.

This is what we got:

Brownie & Cookie D’oh (hers)

  • Triple Fudge Brownie Chunks
  • Brown Sugar Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough
  • Cocoa Cookie Crumb
  • Brown Sugar Hot Fudge

The Salty Sweet (his)

  • Vanilla Bean Soft Serve
  • Dark Chocolate Sauce
  • Peanut Butter Sauce
  • Malted PB Pretzel Crumb
  • Brown Butter Ritz Crumb

K, but seriously. The menu alone had me drooling. I will def be back to try more flavors. You can find the full menu here!

Turns out, we had a great day despite not being able to fly. And, we’ll try again tomorrow!

Sweet Day

Yesterday, we had Sweet Day (not Cheat Day because we don’t cheat). We took it VERY seriously. First of all, we got the new Blue Bell flavor: Two Step. It combines the TWO best flavors ever- Cookies and Cream and Cookie Dough. I KNOW.

Then, we decided to make it colorful. We bough little waffle cones at the store. We melted a heaping spoonful of Nutella for about 30 seconds in a little bowl. It was runny, but still held its form. We took spoonfuls and put it around the top of the cone and added Fruit Loops. Next time, we might try pretzels or really anything else! Then, we put them in the freezer until it was Ice Cream time.

Being that it is July and National Ice Cream Month- we figured, what better way to celebrate. And by the way, the new flavor, Two Step is 5 out of 5 stars. AMAZING. Texas forever, y’all.

Try making dipped cones! So easy and so fun.
