Pink Blush

So I just got this puppy ? in the mail, and it is the prettiest/comfiest dress I have ever seen! I got it from Pink Blush. I originally thought that they just had maternity dresses, but I quickly learned that that is not the case at all!

Pink Blush has the cutest women’s line, too. Plus, this dress is so silky that it feels amazing. ? So…don’t mind me, I’ll just be swishing around in my dress all day.

Also, I was talking to my sister-in-law yesterday, who recently had a baby. She was telling me that she’s purchased maternity clothes from here that she has loved wearing. Check this amazing place out! You’ll probably love it as much as I do.

PS. I saw that there were thousands of back-to-school posts this morning, so good luck on everyone’s first day!

French Fishtail Updo

IMG_1988Fishtail French (1) IMG_1962

With wedding season in full swing, I thought I’d try my hand at a little updo. I have such long, thick hair that this was a little harder than I intentionally imagined, but it was fun to do. Here are the basic steps if my graphic isn’t clear:

  1. Put your hair in a low ponytail, but leave two sections out in the front. (You’ll braid those sections later.)
  2. I flipped my ponytail in to give it some texture, but up to you.
  3. I then fishtail french braided the two sections, but you could just braid them if you wanted!
  4. I pulled the braid apart for added texture.
  5. I put another elastic on the bottom of my ponytail, so I could control the ends and so I could roll my hair up.
  6. I used about 1,000,000 bobby pins to secure that baby down.
  7. I wrapped the braids around the bun and secured those down with bobby pins, as well.
  8. Voila! Updo.

The longest part was fishtail french braiding, so if you just dutch braided or braided it, you would save yourself some time, but I thought the fishtail looked cool.

Have a great Thursday! Be kind to people today.
