Yesterday was the perfect day for a fall wedding. 🍂 Jennie & I met freshman year when she was one of our “random” roommates. I put that in quotations because I know it was not a coincidence- God had some amazing plans in the works. I couldn’t have asked for a better “random” roommate.
Throughout the years, Jennie and I have become best friends. Yes, I have many best friends and Jennie is definitely on that list. We dance so hard together and laugh so hard together.
Here are some of the crazy things we have done:
Grocery shopped at Snith’s in our pajamas often.
Got picked up in a car for a dinner party by two complete strangers without exchanging so much as one word.
Accidentally told Brandon Davies, former BYU basketball star, that we were wearing mustaches to raise prostate awareness instead of prostate cancer awareness.
Danced EVERYWHERE. Kitchen tables, random apartments, clubs, in class.
Survived the scariest class of my college career together- D&C with Mark Belk.
Convinced a Canadian to join the BYU Volleyball Team- he wasn’t even Mormon. 😂 That is how convincing we are. 😉
Dressed up as men on several occasions with facial hair and all- including Sawyer and Hurley from Lost.
DI shopping sprees on the reg.
Made ice cream cake for all of our friends birthdays/half-birthdays.
Watched all of our accounting videos on quadruple-speed together.
Declared our majors together.
Found a working TV during Sunday School at the Wilk to watch the championship basketball game. 👀
CREAMERY FRIDAYS. Every. Single. Friday.
Floors seats of the Killers together.
Snuck into the freshman dance every year for 5 years. 👀😬😂
Choked on pizza. Separately- not together.
Made ESPN by being crazy BYU Football fans together.
Okay I could go on and on forever, but suffice it to say- I LOVE JENNIE LEVER. Well now Jennie Jentczch. ❤️
Okay. I am DYING at these photos. This is one of the moments that I am most excited to share from the wedding and I am sorry it has taken me SO LONG. Aren’t these girls STUNNING!? I am so obsessed with them because not only are they drop-dead gorgeous, but they have shaped me through their wisdom, love, patience, and friendship into the woman I am today. I love each one of them so much for so many different reasons. You can read more about those reasons here! So many great memories with these wonderful people.
These lovely maidens have stood beside me my whole life, and it was amazing to have them stand beside me on my wedding day. I wanted to take a moment to introduce them. I could write pages and pages on each one, but I’ll try to narrow it down to a paragraph.
Mia, Maid of Honor
Mia is my only sister & best friend. She is talented, smart, loving, and loves to laugh. I can’t even begin to say the reasons I love my pretty sister. She is growing up so quickly, and I’m always trying to be like her. One lady recently asked us in the store if we were twins and that was a huge compliment to me! She prays to Heavenly Father like he is there with her in the room. She is full of humility and great potential. I can’t wait to see where life takes her. I’m just excited that I get to be with her forever. I love Meme!
Whitney was one of my first friends in college. We lived right across from each other & helped each other get through freshman year by laughing together and going on crazy adventures. She is still one of the funniest people I know. We went to many dance parties and once got a ticket for ticket fraud that we bribed the security guard to take away! Her spiritual side is something I still strive to have. She is so in tune with the spirit and can articulate words and feelings like few can. I love Whitney!
Charity and I met when we were in middle school. We were in the same ward & I thought she was amazing. She is so athletic and funny and talented. We then got to room together at BYU and she would always bring home fresh food that she would find in gardens, trees, and yards. Still amazed by her hunting/gathering skills. You could frequently find us staying up late making music videos or jamming on our ukes. Also, she is and was one of my biggest cheerleaders! She is so easygoing that everyone loves to be around her. I love Charity!
Kelsie and I also met in middle school. Her family has been so amazing to me and to my brother, Samo. I am so protective of Sam that anyone who willingly loves and reaches out to my brother, I will automatically have a special bond with. We, along with sweet Jessica who did my hair/makeup for my wedding, would constantly make home videos (that hopefully are buried deep somewhere). We have worked through many trials together and I love her for it. I love Kelsie!
Heidi and I met in 7th grade and quickly became best friends. She is so tender-hearted and fun! She makes me feel so good inside because of the way she cares about other people. We would ride to and from high school together everyday, we were in before-school choir together, the same ward for many years, student council, math, financial literacy, leadership, after-school dance, and many more things together. So many hilarious and fun memories. I love Heidi!
Kendra is such a sweetheart. Some would say us being roommates was coincidental freshman year, but I think it was meant to be! She naturally loves and takes care of people, which is why she makes an amazing nurse and will be an even-more amazing mother one day. She makes me feel hilarious because she’s always laughing at my stupid jokes. I love Kendra!
Jennie and I were also roommates freshman and sophomore year! She loves dancing as much as I do, and we have gone to so many fun dances together. Also, we have gone to The Creamery every Friday since 2009….well, almost every Friday. 😉 She has great taste in food and loves to live life. Also, I think we’ve probably been to DI more times than I can count. She always makes me laugh and is always down for an adventure. I love Jennie!
Andee and I have known each other since 7th grade. We’ve been in a million classes together in high school and a few college classes together. In fact, her and I walked to our first college class ever together. She’s super smart and funny! I miss hearing her laugh all the time. She always dreams big. Also, since I moved to Texas, she sent me a giant package for my birthday and for our wedding embroidered the St. George Temple- so thoughtful. I love Andee!
Cec is my sweet cousin! Her and her cute sister, Carly, are the only cousins my age, and I always loved the chances we got to be together despite being across the country. She has the biggest smile and I love it and a big heart to match it. She loves taking pictures like I do! What an easy person to be around. Also, she is athletic and was on the BYU Track Team. Pretty neat. I love Cecily!
I love my sweet new sister-in-law, Rebecca. Being the only girl with 4 brothers, she’s had to deal with a lot. I’m so grateful that she has kept Nick in line. She is always giggling, and it makes me happy. She works hard to get good grades and to do what is right. This transition has been easy to join the Blair family because Becca and everyone else has been so welcoming and nice. I love Becca!
Kaylee and I met in 7th grade, but became really good friends when we did cross country together in high school. We also did choir together for years. We decided in high school that we were going to be roommates (soonges) at BYU and we did just that. We have great memories throughout college. Planning pranks, getting locked in our room, etc. She wrote me love letters to make me happy when I was going through hard times. I’ve seen her a lot since moving to Texas, which has been a blast. I love Kaylee!
There are many other wonderful women who have shaped me into the person I am today, but it was fun for me to think about these wonderful ladies. Keep supporting and loving your friends. You’re helping them more than you know. I am truly blessed with so many loving friends in my life.
