Milano is so gorgeous and their shopping isn’t bad either! Their duomo is so unique, I love it. We took the metro into the city and explored for a few hours. They have the worlds best panzerotti there! They are like scone dough filled with fresh Mozzarella and tomato or prociutto. So good. We also tried a dessert one somewhere else that was chuck full of Nutella, dusted with powdered sugar. ? Seriously 50 shades of yum.
Welp, I hope everyone has had a good Sabbath! We have. Nick and I have started watching Hart of Dixie. Has anyone seen that? It’s kinda stupid but kinda cute… and we are currently listening to a Texas rainstorm outside.
Monte Carlo was everything you’d imagine it to be- rich, fancy, and clean. It’s only about 25 minutes from the Italian border, but you can 100% tell you’re in a new country. We drove through and parked our car in the South of France to get there. Monte Carlo is situated on the ocean, so when you’re driving down to it, you’re on the most picturesque switch backs. We got out of the car started wandering the streets. We saw some fancy, high-end stores on our way to the casino. The casino isn’t like Vegas casinos, fortunately IMO. The architecture was actually really beautiful. We don’t gamble, but it was fun to walk around it.
We then made our way back to the yachts. Ummm… those things are bigger than houses. So fun to walk around the docks. We found a little crepe place & ate nutella crepes. We finished our day with some Laduree macarons in the South of France. YUM. Macarons are one of my favorite things, but they’re best in France. 😉
Okay, so Nick picked out my skirt- isn’t it cute and colorful!? I got my skirt for $19.99 HERE. Sometimes in the summer skirts are all I can bear to wear because it’s too hot for anything else. And who doesn’t love a straw hat to top it off?
Okay so I’ve always been picky about pillows because I wake up and my neck can be aching so easily! I don’t like them if they’re too soft or too hard or too small or too big. I know, I know. But it makes such a difference to me when I feel comfortable at night! Maybe it’s because for most of my life I’ve just bought the cheapest pillow I could find at Walmart or Target? ?
Anyways, if anyone is in the same boat as me, I definitely recommend Urban Bloom! You can check out their site here. I honestly have loved the pillow so far. The design is pretty too so I didn’t even want to put it in a case at first. It smelled weird when I first opened it, but after a week or two the smell wore off- I think it was the memory foam because my mattress pad smelled like that when I first opened it. Anyways, it was more expensive than any pillow I have purchased in the past, but it is worth the investment IMO.
